§ 2. If a man accuse another of witchcraft, but does not prove it, then the accused person shall go to the river and immerse himself in the river. But if the river carries him away, then his accuser shall take possession of his house; But if the river declares him impartial, so that he remains intact: then he who accused him of witchcraft shall be put to death; And he who immersed himself in the river shall take possession of his accuser's house.
